David and Chiva are taking a break from the Tour de Dog but are sure to plan another ride in the near future. A sincere thank you to all of you who helped David and Chiva in countless ways. The Tour de Dog would not be possible without your support. THANK YOU!

Santa Cruz to Carmel Pictures

Chiva and I have been enjoying the Monterey/Carmel area thanks to our fabulous hosts, Barry and Susan. Their hospitality has been above and beyond. Below are a few pictures of the last few days.

David,
My son is planning a trip somewhat similar to yours with his dog in the Fall. He is going from Santa Barbara to Florida, then to DC, then the northern route back to the northwest, then down to SB. I would love to meet you if possible when you and Chiva come through Santa Barbara. I'd love to hear about your plans and just how you're managing the logistics. If you are able to do this over a meal in SB, call me at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital 805-569-7408...I am one of the hospital administrators there.

I check your website every couple days and sure enjoy the pictures and descriptions of your travels. You should know just how much fun it is for others to vicariously make this trip with you. Can't wait to see where you are next. Bob from Ballard

I check your site every day to see what's up. Do you think you can take Chiva on the trail up Whitney? They have a ranger posted at about the 2 mile mark to check for permits.
